Collaborative treatment
Therapy or Counseling is defined as "helping people live happier, healthier, and more productive lives". As a therapist I apply research-based techniques to help my clients develop more effective habits and behaviors. I approach counseling as a collaborative exercise; where we work together to resolve your goals.
I provide a supportive environment that allows you to talk openly with an outside observer who is non-judgmental and curious. My approach is an integrative one, using various counseling models, as well as integrating nutritional and spiritual education and information.
I specialize in Co-occurring disorders – Substance and Mental Health. Some of the counseling models that guide my approach are Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational interviewing (MI), Positive psychology, Integrative Medicine, and Mindfulness based approaches.
I have been a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner since 2019; and a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor since 2010.
